The Digital Koi Show 2025 results

The 2025 Digital Koi Show wrapped, and I’m still slightly dazed by how big this one became. What started as a slightly mad idea, letting people from all over the UK enter their koi without travel, stress, or benching, has turned into something genuinely special. This year, the quality of entries, the diversity of koi and varieties, and the sheer number of hobbyists involved blew past anything we’ve done before.

One of the best parts of the Digital Koi Show is how it levels the playing field. It doesn’t matter if you’ve got a purpose-built Japanese-style pond or a modest back garden setup. If your koi is special, it shines. And this year, they really did. From young tosai showing insane promise to fully grown koi with presence, balance, and confidence, the judges had their work cut out.

We also welcomed a new incredible judging panel, including Eiji Konishi from Maruchiku Koi Farm and Shigeyoshi Tanaka from Marujyu Koi Farm, whose feedback alone made the show worth running. Seeing world-class breeders engage with hobbyists directly is exactly what this platform was built for.

Now, onto the part everyone’s been waiting for…
